On behalf of the Youth Time International Movement we hereby invite students, young lecturers and researchers from to take part in the 4th annual session of the Rhodes Youth Forum, which will be held on the Greek island of Rhodes from 28th September to 1st October 2013.

The highlight of the event will be a public initiatives competition in the following areas:    
1.       Media and Internet projects;
2.       Social and volunteer projects;
3.       Infrastructure and logistics projects;
4.       Preserving cultural identity and traditional values in a global world.  

The authors of the most topical and original initiatives will be given an opportunity to present their projects, seek out fellow-thinkers, receive advice from top-flight experts and take part in a discussion of the key challenges facing contemporary society in the Forum’s working sessions. The most promising initiatives selected by the competition jury will be awarded grant funding.  

If you would like to take part, please send your cv, a completed registration form and a brief description of your project (with a video or presentation) to info@rhodesyouthforum.orgby 1st June 2013.  

Accommodation and meals during the Forum will be provided by the organizers, and participants can also apply for partial reimbursement of transport costs. The conference fee is 50 Euros. About Rhodes Youth Forum The Rhodes Youth Forum has been held since 2010 and is attended each year by around 150 participants from around the world, including representatives of top universities, NGOs and business leaders. The Forum’s mission is to create a platform for young leaders from different countries to exchange ideas, analyse social development scenarios and work out potential practical solutions to vital public issues. Discussions are held in round-table, plenary session and business game formats.  

In 2012 the Forum had a grant fund of 100,000 Euros, which was used to fund winning projects in India, Nepal and Zambia. In addition, several of the Forum’s most active participants were awarded the opportunity of an internship in a leading global companies.  

The Forum’s Expert Council last year included Professor Karman Mofid, founder of the Globalization for the Common Good Initiative (United Kingdom), Professor Calvina Fay, Executive Director of the Drug Free America Foundation (United States), Fearghas O’Béara, Advisor to Deputy Secretary of European Parliament (Ireland) and others.
