Dr. Mojca Kukanja Gabrijelčič, Head of the Centre for Creativity and Talent at UP PEF, in cooperation with the International Institute for the Education of the Gifted (ITEI, MIB) and AxyLu Academics (USA), is organising the XI. International Scientific Conference "Talent Education", which will take place online on 16-17 October 2024.
We invite you to join us with a presentation and a paper to be published in the proceedings. The conference will focus on teaching and learning adaptations in mainstream education, both in terms of individualisation and differentiation of learning and in terms of didactic methods.

UP marked the first Day of Science with the Gallery of Zois Award Laureates of UP
In 2025, we will celebrate Slovenian Science Day for the first time. The Slovenian government approved this holiday in March 2025, and it will be celebrated every year on November 10. To mark the first celebration of this important national holiday, which highlights the respect for knowledge as one of the fundamental values of Slovenian society, the UP has chosen to set up and open a gallery of recipients of Zois awards and recognitions and Science Ambassador awards employed at the UP.

At this year’s 13th IZIS Festival, organized for many years by the Cultural and Educational Association Pina from Koper, artworks by students of the Visual Arts and Design program at the University of Primorska Faculty of Education (UP PEF) are being exhibited for the first time.

Autumn graduation ceremony for doctors of science at the UP
On Thursday, October 16, 2025, the UP held its autumn graduation ceremony for doctors of science. Among the newly awarded Doctors of Science is also Dr. Marianna Gergely from the University of Primorska, Faculty of Education, who obtained her doctorate in the doctoral study programme Educational Sciences.
