Empowering Future Educators: GeNerative AI for Inclusive and Ethical Early Childhood Education (GENIAL),

The Arctic University of Norway, working with the University of Primorska, the University of West Attica and the University of Crete in Greece, Western Norway University of Applied Sciences in Norway, and the University of Helsinki in Finland, has won an Erasmus+ project called Empowering Future Educators: GeNerative AI for Inclusive and Ethical Early Childhood Education - GENIAL. The project is the result of the work between the University of West Attica in Athens and the Faculty of Education of the University of Primorska as part of activity 2.4 of the GDI UP pilot project.  It will continue the development of digital content in the study programme of Preschool Education, which we set up as part of the GDI UP project.

The GENIAL project aims to create a model of education that will help to use generative AI (i.e. artificial intelligence that can create new information) in a way that is both effective and ethical. The project will focus on educating future preschool and university teachers in the responsible use of generative AI, based on educational principles.
